Viant to close Monticello plant, lay off 70
Medical equipment manufacturer Viant will close its production plant in Monticello later this year, laying off 70 employees, reports the Cedar Rapids Gazette. Viant notified employees Sept. 14 of the upcoming job cuts, according to a notice on the Iowa Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification website. The notice said Viant will close the plant Nov. 16.
