Vision Iowa Board grants money to zoo, wellness center
The Vision Iowa board of the Iowa Economic Development Authority awarded nearly $2 million in grants today.
Among them is a $1 million grant for Blank Park Zoo’s expansion project, which would include a public camel exhibit, a state-of-the-art filtration system for the seal and sea lion pool and an African Boardwalk expansion.
The board also awarded the Indianola Wellness Center $481,244 toward a project that includes the construction of a 55,000-square-foot facility with a gym, recreational pools and wellness areas.
