Waukee-based VizyPay recently announced the addition of two employees, who will both be filling a new directorial role in the company. Mana Thongvanh will serve as director of operations, and Jason Bahnsen as general counsel and director of risk/compliance. Both hires come from outside the payment processing industry. Thongvanh held various construction roles, including project manager and project engineer, for more than 17 years before joining VizyPay. In his new role, Thongvanh will first focus on streamlining five of the company’s departments, including tech support, the POS department and shipping and deployment. Bahnsen’s background includes 14 years practicing creditor’s rights litigation and working as a consumer lending compliance officer for a national bank. His first task on VizyPay’s team will be developing and implementing a risk and compliance program. “In hiring outside of the payment processing space, we hope to continue disrupting the industry by bringing forth new ideas and innovative offerings, specifically from those who are able to look at the field through a fresh lens,” said Austin Mac Nab, CEO and co-founder of VizyPay. Learn more
