Volunteers sought for Children’s Advisory Committee
Central Iowa Community Services (CICS) is seeking volunteers to join its Children’s Advisory Committee. With the passage of House File 690 creating a Children’s Behavioral Health System, the Mental Health and Disability Service regions in Iowa have been given the responsibility of developing and administering the system on behalf of those children with a serious emotional disturbance diagnosis. The purpose of the advisory committee is to influence and develop a system of care for children in the 11-county CICS region. The committee will initially meet monthly, with the intent to move to quarterly meetings. For more information and an application, click here.
