The West Des Moines Public Library will continue curbside-only service through at least Nov. 30, despite originally being scheduled to reopen doors today, Nov. 12, the board of trustees decided during Tuesday’s meeting. The board and administrators cited rising numbers of positive COVID-19 cases in Polk and Dallas counties, as well as the decision by West Des Moines Community Schools to file for an online-only instruction waiver. The library had been scheduled to reopen following renovation work within the building. A 24-hour self-serve borrow/return Library Kiosk is now available in Valley Junction to all cardholders.
