Attorney J. Marc Ward was recently elected chair of the board of trustees of Broadlawns Medical Center. He will serve a one-year term as chair of the seven-member board through January 2022. In that role, Ward, a shareholder with Fredrikson & Byron, will direct the board and leadership team of Polk County’s safety-net public hospital. He is currently serving a six-year term on the board as elected by Polk County voters in 2016. He succeeds former chairman Bill Taber, who in November lost his bid for reelection after serving 11 years on the board. Ward is a shareholder in Fredrikson’s Bank & Finance Group and has extensive experience in working on banking, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
