The Des Moines Water Works board of trustees could announce who its next CEO and general manager will be today. According to the board’s agenda, it will deliberate over the two finalists for the position. Ted Corrigan, the utility’s chief operating officer, and Aaron Kraft, the general manager for Veolia, a private utility contract firm in Rialto, Calif., were chosen as the last two finalists among more than 120 applicants for the position. Corrigan has served as interim CEO and general manager since last year, following the death of Bill Stowe, the agency’s previous CEO. According to the agenda for today’s meeting, the board will take public comment before deliberating over the two candidates. The board will then go into closed session, following which they will return into open session where they may announce who the new CEO will be. Today’s meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Zoom.
