The Des Moines Waterworks board of trustees is scheduled to meet Tuesday to continue its search for a new CEO and general manager. The board is scheduled to meet virtually at 3:30 p.m. on the virtual meeting platform Zoom. According to the meeting agenda, the board is expected to go into closed session to discuss the qualifications of a potential candidate. After the closed session, the board could take possible action in its search for a new CEO, although it wasn’t immediately known what that action might be. The board received 122 applications for the CEO position, and the list was eventually narrowed to as many as eight qualified candidates. The board interviewed candidates over two days last week. Ted Corrigan, chief operating officer of the Des Moines Water Works, has been serving as interim CEO since Bill Stowe died last year.
