Waukee hires economic development coordinator

Jennifer Brown (pictured) has been hired as the city of Waukee’s economic development coordinator. Brown most recently worked for the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce in Appleton, Wis., where she oversaw the group’s business retention and expansion program. Before that, she led the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corp. Brown, who graduated from Central College in Pella, will serve as a liaison between Waukee’s public and private sectors, helping develop and expand the community’s existing businesses and attract new ones. Brown, who started her new position May 10, has a master’s degree in management from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her annual salary is $87,338.
