Chad Rubner, president and owner of Express Logistics Inc. in Waukee, is among 25 finalists from the Upper Midwest for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Express Logistics is a third-party logistics provider. The winners of the award will be announced on June 9. Bill Owens of Open Gates Business Development Corp. in Kalona was also a finalist.
