Waukee’s Showalter wins STEM Teacher Award

STEM Teacher Award sponsored by Kemin Industries. The award was created in 2014 to recognize innovation. The acronym I.O.W.A. stands for innovative in methods, outstanding passion for education, world-focused and academic. Showalter and teachers from five other regions each won $1,500 for their personal use and $1,500 to be used in their classroom. The award will be presented at 2:15 p.m. Monday at the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center.
