Women in leadership will be the focus of the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce’s Food 4 Thought Breakfast Series event at 7:30 a.m May 20 at the Drury Inn off Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines. The session will feature a panel that will include Pleasant Hill Mayor Sara Kurovski; Katie Roth, owner of Portico Staffing; former U.S. Ambassador Mary Kramer; and Mary Sellers, president of United Way of Central Iowa. The panelists will discuss how to overcome barriers in the workplace, the benefits of mentorship and paths to career progression.
