WDM Human Services launches new free workforce development program

West Des Moines Human Services has announced the launch of a new workforce development program designed to prepare individuals for high-demand careers as data center technicians. The 15-week training program offers free training and tuition, technology support, mentorship and wraparound services to help qualified participants gain the skills necessary to work in the data technology industry. The program is open to individuals who have used one or more services provided by West Des Moines Human Services. “This program reflects our ongoing commitment to helping under-resourced individuals access meaningful, sustainable employment,” Audrey Kennis, director of West Des Moines Human Services, said in a prepared statement. “With the growing demand for data center professionals, we’re thrilled to connect our clients with a pathway to a stable and rewarding career.” Applications for the program will be accepted through Aug. 8. For more information or to submit an application, click here.
