The West Des Moines Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has set a meeting for 5:30 p.m. April 16 at City Hall, 4200 Mills Civic Parkway, to gather feedback on a proposed excursion boat on Blue Heron Lake. The board is expected to vote at the meeting. Capt. Michael LaValle wants to move the Jon Anderson White riverboat from the Des Moines River to the 232-acre lake at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines. Click here to read our earlier story.
