Downtown Farmers Market – Wednesday Market will open Aug. 31 and run through Oct. 5 in Western Gateway Park between Grand Avenue and Locust Street. Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Wednesday Market will feature 30 vendors offering a mix of seasonal fresh Iowa fruit, vegetables, specialty and artisan food, local art and entertainment, and lunch menu offerings. The Wednesday Market is produced by the Downtown Community Alliance, which also produces the Downtown Farmers  Market held on Saturdays through Oct. 29.
