The Wellmark Foundation is now accepting applications for its small Matching Assets to Community Health (MATCH) grants. The small MATCH grants are for up to $25,000 and must be matched at 50% with cash or in-kind contributions. At least half of the matching support must be in cash. The grants look ahead to the time that normalcy returns for communities, said Becky Wampler Bland, executive director for the Wellmark Foundation. “When that time comes, our goal is to be a catalyst in bringing people together within a community to create safe and healthy environments that encourage physical activity and access to and consumption of nutritious foods now, and for generations to come,” she said. Applications for the small MATCH grants are available online and must be submitted by June 5. Successful applicants will be announced in August.
