Wells Fargo & Co. officials in West Des Moines on Wednesday hosted the 2012 SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) USA National Championship team from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., during its U.S. tour in preparation for the international SIFE World Cup. SIFE, an international nonprofit organization, mobilizes students around the country to conduct community outreach projects improving the quality of life and standard of living of those in need. The Belmont team competed against teams from 155 other colleges and universities to earn the right to represent the United States at the SIFE World Cup event, which will be held Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 in Washington, D.C. The students’ project involved the development of an environmentally friendly recycling program in Nashville.
