Wells Fargo & Co. will enter the mobile payments market with Wells Fargo Wallet, which will be available later this summer to customers who download the bank’s app to their Android phones. Wells Fargo said about 5 million, or 38 percent, of its app customers have such phones, the Los Angeles Times reported. Wells Fargo joins JPMorgan Chase & Co., which announced its own mobile-payment service last year, in taking on Apple Inc.’s Apple Pay and Google’s Android Pay as well as offerings from Samsung Electronics Co. and others.
