Wells Fargo overhauls its corporate philanthropy strategy
Wells Fargo, the Des Moines area’s largest private employer, announced plans to overhaul its corporate philanthropy strategy to focus on housing affordability, small-business growth and the financial health of individuals. In an announcement released today, the company said it would commit $1 billion through 2025 to address issues tied to housing affordability including homelessness, transitional housing and homeownership. Specifics on how the company would distribute money to communities were not provided. Wells Fargo’s home mortgage division is located in West Des Moines.
