Wells Fargo to be presenting sponsor for Principal Charity Classic
Wells Fargo & Co. has extended its agreement to remain the presenting sponsor of the Principal Charity Classic in 2011, which will take place June 1-5 at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.
The 2010 event received the “Players Award,” ranking it the No. 1 stop for the Champions Tour circuit, and gave a record $620,000 to local children’s charities.
The PGA Tour and an Iowa State University study estimate the tournament generated an economic impact of $20.8 million for the region in 2010.
