The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce will host the second session of the Food 4 Thought Breakfast Series event on Wednesday, May 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Drury Inn off of Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines. The session will focus on women in leadership and how to overcome barriers in the workplace such as lack of mentorship, career progression and the struggle to have it all. The four featured panelists will be Sara Kurovski, mayor of Pleasant Hill and manager of sustainability at Kum & Go; Katie Roth, owner of Portico Staffing; Ambassador Mary Kramer, former U.S. ambassador to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean; and Mary Sellers, president of the United Way of Central Iowa.
