A West Des Moines company that develops custom injection molders plans to nearly double its warehouse, city staff said in a recent meeting with City Council members. The company, Innovative Injection Technologies or I2Tech, owns a warehouse located on 5.2 acres at 1800 Industrial Circle. The 24,000-square-foot warehouse was constructed in 1999, according to the Polk County assessor website. The company is planning a 45,000-square-foot addition to the structure, Brian Portz, a West Des Moines city planner, said during a recent development and planning council subcommittee meeting. The company bought the property, now valued at $1.2 million, in 2016, according to the assessor’s website. I2Tech’s manufacturing facility is located at 2360 Grand Ave. in West Des Moines.
