Wholesale inventories up in January

U.S. wholesale inventories rose 0.3 percent in January and sales dropped 3.1 percent, the largest decrease since March 2009, according to the U.S. Commerce Department, Reuters reported. At the present sales pace, it would take a little more than one month to clear warehouse shelves.
