224 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate & DevelopmentWild Rose Entertainment LLC issued a statement today clarifying its role in a proposed casino-hotel project that was unveiled Tuesday to the Des Moines Airport Authority’s board. The West Des Moines-based casino operator said it “supports the Des Moines Airport Authority in its goal of making the Des Moines airport a world-class destination venue that better serves the air travel needs of the community and its visitors as well as [one that] acts as an agent for economic development. Should the Highview Development Group project, led and originated by Reggie Sinha, garner the necessary public and regulatory support, Wild Rose would be pleased to be the casino operating partner. At this juncture, the project is conceptional and much work needs to be done before it can come to fruition.” In its statement, Wild Rose indicated it “is not the first nor the only casino organization approached by Mr. Sinha and his Highview consortium.” Sinha said by phone that Wild Rose is now the only potential casino partner it is working with. “I want this to be an Iowa story,” he said. “We think it is very important that we get this done as soon as possible.” Wild Rose Entertainment operates casinos in Clinton, Emmetsburg and Jefferson, and has considered building casinos in Ankeny, Norwalk and Urbandale, but those plans were scrapped for various reasons.
