Winefest unveiled changes to its 2021 festival in an email to supporters, saying they were needed because of continued limitations caused by the coronavirus pandemic. In the email, organizers said the in-person Iowa Pork Sips and the City and the Community Choice Grand Tasting have been moved to Sept. 24-25 with the hope that by fall restrictions on events will have loosened, more people will have been vaccinated, and the community and vendors will be better able to participate. Those events had been scheduled for June 11-12. Other events will be held as scheduled, with changes to ensure they are safe for participants. They include:

  • June 1 – Holmes Murphy Toasting Tuesday featuring Gateway Market wines
  • June 3 – Prima Dinners
  • June 6 – Green State Lawn Party
  • June 8 – Community Tasting featuring Ballet Des Moines
  • June 9 – Progressive Dinner
