Women business owners to be honored

Dawn Lull, Allison Fleming and Kelly Boon will be honored on Feb. 23 at the fourth Women Mean Business Summit of the National Association of Women Business Owners – Central Iowa chapter (NAWBO-CI). Lull, owner of Dawn R. Lull CPA, will be recognized with the Woman Business Owner of the Year Award. Fleming, currently chair of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, will receive the Connie Wimer Spirit Award for her philanthropic leadership. Boon will receive the Aspiring Woman Business Owner Award in recognition of her entrepreneurial ventures, which include pARTners Unlimited, a nonprofit providing experiential learning through the arts to individuals at risk of delinquency or criminal behavior. NAWBO-CI’s “Heart of a Leader” Summit also includes three keynote presentations, two sessions of four concurrent workshops, and a woman business owner panel sharing leadership development experiences.
