The Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center’s 21st annual Women Helping Women Luncheon on May 17 raised a record $210,000, which will be used to provide mental health counseling and education to underserved women and girls. More than 600 people attended the event, which was keynoted by Gina Skinner-Thebo, founder of the Atwood Center for Women, an organization to empower and connect women that is best known for its Incredible Women Parties. She is a member of the 2019 Forty Under 40 class. Community leader and mental health advocate Susan Voss was this year’s event honoree. She has served the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center for more than 10 years as both a board member and board president. To see a list of sponsors and donors, click here.
