The 14th Annual World Food & Music Festival will take place Friday through Sunday in Western Gateway Park with some new additions — a naturalization ceremony will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday with 50 people expected to become U.S. citizens; a partnership with Meals from the Heartland will bring the nonprofit to the festival to help package up to 60,000 meals to feed orphans and students around the world; and guests can screen print their own T-shirt in minutes, according to a news release. More than 50 food vendors representing more than 25 countries and culinary regions will be featured. If that’s not enough for you, Kat Perkins, a semifinalist on NBC’s “The Voice,” will perform Friday night, followed by the Tony Bohnenkamp All Star Band on Saturday night.
