Yankee Doodle food drive kicks off
The eighth annual Yankee Doodle Drive Against Hunger – A Symphony of Caring will run from now until July 5. Nonperishable food items may be dropped off at area Bank of the West or Hy-Vee locations or at the Des Moines Symphony’s 23nd annual Yankee Doodle Pops on July 1 on the West Terrace of the Iowa Capitol. All donations will benefit the Food Bank of Iowa. Monetary donations can be made at www.foodbankiowa.org.
