Cedar Rapids Gazette: Iowa’s lottery proved to be the ticket for homebound adults starving for entertainment options during the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lottery officials said Tuesday they are on track to smash all of their annual records, having already surpassed $417 million in sales of instant scratch and lotto products with a month still left in the current fiscal year. That’s almost a 25% increase from the same 11-month period one year ago.
