The Young Professionals Connection has begun offering business memberships, in an effort to recognize employers’ ongoing support and to help them continue to attract and retain young professionals. The organization has established three Business Member tiers — Gold, Silver and Bronze — which offer varying levels of free individual memberships, tickets to YPC events and other recognition for the companies. “We came up with a three-tier system so that large, medium and small businesses could all take advantage of it,” said YPC Past President Abby Rodewald, who led the development of the new program. The number of Gold and Silver business memberships will be limited to two and 10 respectively each year, while the Bronze memberships will be unlimited. An initiative of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, the YPC was formed in 2000 and currently has about 500 individual members.
