Young Variety, the young professionals’ arm of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa, will take its Charity Date Night fundraiser virtual this year, offering a Valentine’s Day date night charcuterie package for donors to enjoy at home. Young Variety is partnering with One Board Gal, a local charcuterie business, to offer the packages, which can be purchased through Feb. 5 at www.varietyiowa.com. Packages must be picked up between 4 and 6 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines. Each package includes two 8-ounce charcuterie boxes by One Board Gal, a bag of Almost Famous popcorn, cookies from She Bakes Cookies, cookies from One Sweet Kitchen, and a bottle of wine. Each charcuterie package costs $75 for pickup, or $100 for delivery anywhere in the Greater Des Moines area. “While this isn’t our traditional Date Night event, we are still excited to provide a Valentine’s Day date night experience for our supporters to enjoy,” Christina Tim, Young Variety board president said in a news release. “The Young Variety team has done a phenomenal job of continuing to pivot and finding unique ways to raise dollars in our current environment to support the Variety mission.”
