John Schreurs named CEO of Strategic America

Strategic America, an integrated marketing communications agency in West Des Moines, announced Monday that John Schreurs, chief operating officer and president, has been named its new chief executive officer, effective Aug. 1. Founder Michael Schreurs will continue as chairman and chief strategist, but has chosen to appoint his brother as CEO.
“I’m completely comfortable passing the reins to John,” said Michael Schreurs. “John’s client focus and keen business acumen will keep SA on the same successful course and insure greater future success.”
John Schreurs joined Strategic America in 1983. Throughout his tenure he has been involved in all areas of the business, including developing the agency’s field marketing expertise with innovative platforms and strategies for many regional and national clients.
Before joining Strategic America, Schreurs developed his media skills in radio sales management and community chamber marketing experience. He is involved with the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and active in the leadership of many community and professional organizations, including the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce.
