Online holiday sales continue to grow
Online sales have grown in all time frames so far this holiday season.
Helped by a $1 billion sales day on Cyber Monday, a 16 percent increase from last year, the sales numbers for the week of Nov. 27 through Dec. 3 totaled more than $5 billion, according to Internet-based tracking firm comScore.
That was a 9 percent increase from the same time period last year. Overall, online sales during the holiday season, defined as beginning Nov. 1, totaled more than $16 billion through Dec. 3, a 12 percent increase from the same time frame in 2009.
