Stelter Co. enters strategic partnership with Giving Docs
The Stelter Co., a Des Moines-based marketing agency that serves nonprofits, has entered into a strategic partnership with Giving Docs, a provider of online estate planning tools based in Austin, Texas. By aligning Giving Docs’ estate planning platform with Stelter’s decades of insight into what motivates donors to make legacy gifts, nonprofits will be able to expand their outreach, make deeper connections, reduce costs and remove the barriers donors face when deciding to make a legacy gift, the companies said in a press release. “One of the biggest challenges planned giving programs face is moving donors from intent to action,” said Nathan Stelter, Stelter’s president. “Our partnership with Giving Docs gives nonprofits the tools and strategies necessary to make it easy for donors to take the next step in creating an estate plan and supporting a mission they care about.” According to Caring.com’s 2021 Wills and Estate Planning Study, just 33% of Americans have a will in place, although two-thirds say it is either very or somewhat important to have one. “This partnership brings together deep subject matter experts with new technology, making estate planning and planned giving accessible and easy to accomplish,” said Brantley Boyett, president and co-founder of Giving Docs. The Stelter Co., founded in 1962, works with more than 1,300 clients nationwide in higher education, health care, environment, arts and culture, human rights, cause, and community nonprofits.
