Des Moines Register: Wells Fargo will permanently close its downtown Des Moines museum, one of 11 that the company is shuttering around the country. Rather than a cost-savings measure, a Wells Fargo spokesman said the “museums do not align with our go-forward strategy as a company.” Located at 801 Walnut St., the Des Moines museum features a Wells Fargo stagecoach, a rotating art gallery and exhibits about the bank’s history in Iowa.
